GCSP alumni contribute significantly to global security. The Centre proudly recognises its alumni for their service and devotion to the Centre and for their achievements in their career.
GCSP’s Alumni Awards were first introduced in 2012. Today, the GCSP distinctly qualifies three award categories:
The Alumni Achievement Award is for accomplishments in the nominee’s profession and is intended to recognise both accomplishments and leadership in the field of international security policy. The contributions must not need to be publicly renowned, but should represent important creative effort or accomplishments with societal, governmental or educational value.
The Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award recognises both durability, resistence and consistency of accomplishment over an alumnus’ professional career. This recognition may not be awarded every year.
The Alumni Services Award is intended to recognise service to the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP) in the form of volunteer work for the Centre’s Alumni Affairs Office and in general the Centre’s alumni development. This award also encompasses the investment of alumni in their respective country for the opening of GCSP Regional Alumni Community Hubs.
The GCSP invites its alumni and GCSP friends to contribute to the nomination process of the Alumni Awards. If you are in touch with a GCSP alumnus who in your opinion merits an award, please forward your nomination to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Nominations should comprise of:
