The world is facing increasingly complex, multiple and overlapping crises. Managing them requires timely and tailored decision-making in often volatile and diverse environments. Because 21st century crises require 21st century responses, the GCSP is offering cutting-edge education for professionals to leverage their technical skills and innovative thinking in designing a crisis management plan. This workshop will enable participants to tangibly help them as individuals – as well as their organizations – to foresee, manage and overcome a diverse range of crises.

Regardless of its nature, a crisis brings disruption that can significantly affect any professional activities regarding the protection of their employees, assets or mandates. Crisis management is a core leadership skill for professionals that requires practical approach and insightful exchange of experience.
Crisis management and decision-making sit at the intersection of several core GCSP competencies including leadership, resilience and international security policy.
This workshop will provide professionals with a unique learning environment, exploring with their mentors and experienced practitioners the most effective tools to handle a crisis from the prevention to the recovery phase.
Participants will stem from organisations actively involved in fragile contexts and countries going through complex political transition, such as government institutions, civil society and international organisations.
