Leadership in International Security Course (LISC) 2017-2018

Building Resilience for the Complex 21st Century Security Environment

The 32nd edition of this eight-month international training course in security policy is designed for high performing professionals seeking to enhance their career and take the lead in solving the world’s most pressing security challenges. Participants can also opt to take part in the concurrent Master of Advanced Studies in International and European Security, jointly run with the Global Studies Institute of the University of Geneva.

The course teaching staff includes GCSP’s international faculty composed of academics and practitioners with broad experience in international affairs, security policy, diplomacy and military affairs, as well as high-level international guest speakers from civil society, government, academia and international organisations.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Open to mid-career professionals working in national ministries, international organisations, non-governmental organisations and civil society organisations. Candidates must have had exposure to peace and security issues. Serving officers must have completed an advanced military staff course.

  • Participants must be proficient in both spoken and written English, the working language of the course.
