Strategic Foresight and Existential Risks

Helping International Governance Respond to Global Catastrophic Risks

What role does strategic foresight play in identifying catastrophic risks threatening humanity as a whole – and how can it help to map necessary steps to be taken by the international community to reduce them? This course addresses these questions, bringing together experts in foresight, pioneers in existential risk research and practitioners in international organisations to co-create solutions for a more resilient future.

The course is designed for professionals working in the intersection of foresight, strategic planning, international governance and existential risk. We welcome participants interested in global health, climate change, disarmament and emerging technologies: diplomats, government officials, practitioners from international and non-governmental organisations and the private sector.
