While technologies have spread dramatically, the digital dividends have not.
As noted by the World Bank’s World Development Report 2016: Digital Dividends, the “full benefits of the ICT will not be realized unless countries continue to improve their business climate, invest in people’s education and health and promote good governance.”
The Breakfast Conversation will examine the measures some governments are taking to enhance their capacity to reap digital dividends. These may include efforts to extend e-government services or to establish new concepts such as digital embassies.
