Vice-President, Institut International de Recherches pour la Paix à Genève (GIPRI)
Gabriel Galicia came into irenology in 2002 from its achievements in political science, political economy and international management. He had just published his major work From PEOPLE-NATION - Essay on the peoples of Europe of the national environment (Lyon, Mario Mella Edition).
His first impulse was to continue to include the theme of people, starting with democracy, in globalization, from the national and European level internationally. Along the way, he continued his former reflection on the theme of the border (article "Berlin - Geneva" in the No. double "Borders" of the magazine medium in 2010) by addressing the armed conflict in Israel-Palestine and Iraq. Responsible for the publication "Les Cahiers du GIPRI, as director of the first Institute, then as Vice President, he wrote prefaces and wrote the article" The Market, peace, war "(Book # 6 Is war a good deal? in 2007).
The commemoration of the tercentenary of the birth of Jean-Jacques Rousseau led him to organize the conference "Rousseau, the Republic of peace", in the frames of the program of the City of Geneva, 2012 Rousseau for All.
The book Thinking the Republic, war and peace in the footsteps of Jean-Jacques Rousseau (Slatkine, 2012), co-written with Christophe Miqueu, presents the themes of the conference to the public. The work is crowned by the Academy of Sciences, Arts and Belles Lettres of Dijon. While preparing the publication of the work on the peoples in the world order, Gabriel Galicia is opening new sites on a state of war and "just wars".
