Head of Learning and Policy, Interpeace
In October 2013, Maud Roure joined the Strategic Management Team as Head of Learning and Policy. Maud works closely with Interpeace’s decentralized Global Learning Team to further promote learning, evaluation and reflection across the organization. She is continuously advancing Interpeace’s programmatic work and methodology by capturing experiences from the field and transforming them into learning materials and policy papers.
Maud initially joined Interpeace in 2005 and has since acquired extensive and in-depth knowledge of Interpeace’s approach and methodology. In her current function, Maud is able to draw on over eight years of hands-on peacebuilding experience that she collected as Programme Officer for the Great Lakes Region and External Relations Officer. Previous work experience on post-conflict related issues includes the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Paris. Maud also worked on political transitions, disarmament, demobilization and reintegration and human rights at the French Embassy in Namibia, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Niger and Amnesty International in Paris. Maud is French and holds a Master’s degree in Risk Management in Developing Countries from Sciences Po Bordeaux and an additional Master’s in Human Rights and Humanitarian Law from the Paris-Panthéon Assas University. Her Bachelor’s degree in International Law was awarded by the Paris-Sorbonne University.
