GCSP's Dr Christina Schori Liang and Jean-Paul Rouiller Featured in Berner Zeitung

The Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP)’s Dr Christina Schori Liang and Mr Jean-Paul Rouiller are featured in the Berner Zeitung article entitled, “Switzerland Becomes Global Player in the Fight against Terror.”

The article, available in German, examines how the GCSP is leading the global effort in Preventing Violent Extremism (PVE) through training, dialogue and research. It also discusses how other organisations in Switzerland are working to network and fund local populations.

Dr Schori Liang, who currently serves as Cluster Leader on Terrorism and Organised Crime at the GCSP often leads courses on PVE and Mr Rouiller, a GCSP Fellow, is also an expert on Countering Terrorism Extremism (CTE).  To get a closer look at the work that the GCSP does through executive education, dialogue and policy analysis, a reporter from Schweizer Berner Zeitung recently visited the Centre at the Maison de la paix and participated in a course, and also a public discussion geared toward students to see Dr Schori Liang’s in action.

"We must be able to counter the narrative of the extremists with something equally powerful, our liberal and democratic values,” Dr Schori Liang is quoted as stating in the article. Learn more about the fight against violent extremism in Switzerland.
