The Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP)'s Senior Programme Advisor, Senior Fellow and the Terrorism and Organised Crime Cluster Leader, Dr Christina Schori Liang, presented the GCSP's work on countering and preventing violent extremism at the Seventh Plenary Meeting of the Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) Working Group for the Global Counterterrorism Forum (GCTF) on 8 March.
Dr Schori Liang focused on how the GCSP addresses the Who, What, Where and How of global terrorism prevention strategies. The GCSP offers independent, innovative and inclusive platforms for dialogue and capacity-building, which reach a wide spectrum of participants, capitalising on its strategic location at the Maison de la paix.
The GCSP is expanding its collaboration with Hedayah and the Global Center on Cooperative Security by supporting its Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism (PCVE) National Action Plans Task Force. Together, the GCSP and its new partners will host a National Action Plan Workshop in April to assist countries around the world as they design their National Action Plans.
