Dr Schori Liang speaks at the 2015 OSCE-wide Counter-Terrorism Expert Conference

Dr Christina Schori Liang gave a presentation at the 2015 OSCE-wide Counter-Terrorism Expert Conference, entitled "Countering the Incitement and Recruitment of Foreign Terrorist Fighters".

She was an invited speaker at the 2015 OSCE-wide Counter-Terrorism Expert Conference, which took place from 30 June until 1 July 2015 at the Hofburg Palace, Vienna.

Dr. Schori Liang's presentation focused on good practices for strategic messaging to counter incitement and recruitment of foreign terrorist fighters.

Organised by the OSCE, the conference's purpose was to facilitate the exchange of good practices and lessons learned on countering the recruitment of foreign fighters.

The panel included experts from the EU Syria Strategic Communication Advisory Team (SSCAT), the US Department of State’s Center for Strategic Counterterrorism Communications (CSCC) and the Anti-Terrorism Centre (ATC), State Committee on National Security, Kyrgyzstan.

The conference produced a list of recommendations which will serve as a basis for further discussions within the OSCE. The conference conclusions will contribute to further high-level discussions on countering violent extremism at the UN General Assembly in September 2015.
