Future Storyworlds call-for-projects

Future Storyworlds offers writers, researchers and academics the opportunity to consult with the foremost Swiss scientific advisors, experts in geopolitical risks and futurists.

The finalists will spend two days at the CERN testing and shaping their dystopian visions through immersive media experiments. Up to 10 candidates will be selected for this exclusive GCSP event.

Participants will benefit from 1 to 1 consultation with scientific experts and media producers, discover writing techniques for immersive media, and hear firsthand from industry leaders about content creation for VR / AR / MR and 360° experiences.

  • Kynan Eng, researcher at the Institute of Neuroinformatics, Zurich University and ETH Zurich;
  • Fabienne Tsai, associate researcher for the Spatial Media department of the École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs;
  • David Varela, Narrative designer, Sherlock: The Network, The Trace, Perplex City
  • Monika Bielskyte, Strategy & Creative Designer, Co-founder at ALL FUTURE EVERYTHING.

Share your dystopic vision via the Online application form. Applications close 27 October 2017. Finalists will be announced on Nov. 6 at the 23rd Geneva International Film Festival.

Future Storyworlds forms an alliance between the GCSP, ProHelvetia Swiss Arts Council, the Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival (NIFFF), CineGlobe, and THE Port at CERN.
