GCSP Alumna Becomes Director General of Amnesty International France

Sylvie Brigot-Vilain, a graduate of the GCSP's New Issues in Security Course (NISC), was approved by the board of directors to become the Director General of Amnesty International France.

Before becoming the Director General of Amnesty International France, Ms Brigot-Vilain worked for a number of not-for-profit organisations including the International Campaign to Ban Landmines, for which she was a co-recipient of the 1997 Nobel Peace Prize. In 2015 she attended the GCSP's 16th NISC course to "give [her] a much welcome, and needed update on these issues." As Director General, Ms Brigot-Vilain says she "[wants] to strengthen our impact in the protection of human rights in France, and the world."
