The GCSP welcomes 24 new alumni to its expanding international community!

On Friday, 27th of May 2016 the graduation ceremony for the 2015-2016 Leadership in International Security Course (LISC), and the 10th Master of Advanced Studies in International and European Security (MAS) took place at the GCSP.

The eight month LISC began in October 2015 and is designed to increase the knowledge and skills of high performing professionals who seek to enhance their career and engage in leadership positions in solving the world’s most pressing security challenges.

For 2015-2016, the GCSP welcomed 24 participants from 24 countries, including the Democratic Republic of Congo, Indonesia, Lao PDR, the Philippines, and Tajikistan for the first time. They represented six government ministries, international organisations, the private sector, academia, and civil society.

Participants can also opt to take part in the concurrent Master of Advanced Studies in International and European Security, jointly run with the Global Studies Institute of the University of Geneva, and we were delighted to have 13 MAS graduates this year.

The LISC ceremony was opened by Ambassador Christian Dussey, GCSP Director, and the MAS ceremony by Professor René Schwok, Director of the Global Studies Institute of the University of Geneva, and was followed by the handover of the certificates and diplomas. The ceremony concluded with an address from both Mr Nesrie Abrar Hussain and Mr Rashid Gabdulhakov on behalf of the 2015-2016 class.

We wish the graduates of 2015-2016 continued success in their future endeavours and look forward to our continued relationship with them through the GCSP Alumni Association and events.

We are currently recruiting for the 2016/17 edition. For further information please consult the LISC and MAS section of the website.
