In an age of geopolitical disruption, diplomacy is fast changing and increasingly digital, within an environment of complex interconnected challenges.
Diplomats and political advisors not only need to update constantly their knowledge and skills, but also to learn new and innovative methods to conduct, and contribute to, more effective foreign policy and creative diplomacy.
The GCSP focuses on enhancing diplomats’ abilities to synthesise information rapidly, think creatively, and communicate effectively to a diverse variety of stakeholders. Through the Diplomatic Tradecraft Thematic Cluster, emphasis is placed on effective communication, reporting, analysis, risk assessment, advocacy, negotiation, and mediation. Diplomats who work with the GCSP have the
opportunity to engage with experts from a variety of backgrounds, becoming integrated into a community of government officials and security policy professionals across the globe.
