Round the world, current security challenges are not restricted to the state and to territory. Most of them have a transnational, if not global, impact that transcends boundaries and brings in a multitude of non-state actors.
The regional challenges cluster combines executive education, dialogue and policy analysis dedicated to the analysis of the determinants of those challenges and their impacts on the domestic, regional and global environment. Regional challenges are scrutinised under multiple perspectives, including diplomacy, economics and international relations, by experts as well as practitioners. While the scope of study is global, the main focuses of research are Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, East and South-East Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. GCSP experts, practitioners and academics join in a co-creation process with participants, through sharing experience, knowledge, and skills, to build a deeper insight into the dynamics and possible solutions of regional security challenges.
