  • Intern (100% - 6 month contract)

The mission of this position will be to assist the Resource Mobilisation and Marketing (RMM) team in projects related to the GCSP website (www.gcsp.ch), publications, and daily activities around the website, social media and video/audio/photo, in line with the overall Resource Mobilisation and Marketing strategy, while being on the lookout for the best practices and latest innovative solutions and tendencies in web and multimedia.

As a member of the RMM team, your responsibilities will be to:

Web Management and Social Media

  • Assist publishing new content daily, and keep existing content up-to-date, functional, and optimised, while maintaining design in line with the GCSP brand,
  • Troubleshoot the sites (including content, links, registration flows, etc.), make corrections directly or delegate tasks to the GCSP’s web service provider,
  • Collaborate closely with content marketing colleagues and report to teammates and supervisor on the performance of the site,

Multimedia

  • Assist video, audio, and photo creation,
  • Support digital asset management projects (e.g. intranet, photo library, FTP, etc.).

The successful candidate will be an undergraduate or graduate degree in web design and development, multimedia, communications, IT or related field.

In addition, we will look for the following skills and competencies:

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills are required,
  • Knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Photoshop,
  • Good understanding of HTML and CSS language,
  • Experience in UX/UI and responsive design,
  • Experience working with content management systems,
  • Basic understanding of web analytics and SEO analysis and optimization,
  • Proficiency in social media and/or email marketing tools,
  • Skills in multimedia production (photo, video, audio),
  • Livestream experience is a plus,
  • Knowledge of CRM/email marketing tools is a plus,
  • Enthusiastic, outgoing personality, ability to multi-task, inner curiosity and interest in new ideas, innovative and continuous improvement approaches,
  • Attention to detail and accuracy,
  • Organised, reliable and resourceful; able to work independently with minimal supervision,
  • Excellent written and spoken English required, fluency in French and additional languages is a plus,
  • Swiss or EU national or holder of a valid Swiss permit.
