Seminar with the Slovene Task Force for the 2004 OSCE Chairmanship
On 10-11 May in Ljubljana, the GCSP organised a seminar with the Slovene Task Force for the 2005 Chairmanship of the OSCE. The seminar brought together 18 diplomats and professionals from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Defence. GCSP faculty members with practical experience in various OSCE activities and guest speakers from the OSCE Secretariat and Institutions took part in the seminar.
Topics under discussion included the OSCE role within the European security architecture, the European arms control regime, activities related to military aspects of security, regional priorities for the organisation, its military-political, conflict prevention, democratic institutions, minorities and electoral mandates, and coordination between the various institutions and the Chairmanship.
On 11 May, Minister for Foreign Affairs Dimitrij Rupel received the Director of the GCSP, Ambassador Gérard Stoudmann.
Sofia, Bulgaria

The four-day Sofia Seminar brought together mid to high-level diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs team for the 2004 Bulgarian Chairmanship of the OSCE. GCSP faculty members and guest speakers with practical experience in various OSCE activities took part in the seminar.
Topics under discussion included the OSCE within the Euro-Atlantic security architecture, regional priorities for the organisation during the year ahead, its military-political, conflict prevention, democratic institutions, minorities and electoral mandates, and coordination between the various institutions and the Chairmanship.
