Mr Pablo E. Carrillo

Mr Pablo E. Carrillo is an Executive-in-Residence within the Global Fellowship Initiative of the GCSP. Carrillo left Senator McCain’s office after having served for 15 years in the Senate. Prior to serving as McCain’s chief of staff, Carrillo served as the Senate Armed Services Committee’s Minority General Counsel for then-Ranking Member McCain. Carrillo also served as the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs’ Chief Investigative Counsel for then-Chairman McCain. In that capacity, Carrillo led the investigation into misconduct by lobbyist Jack Abramoff, uncovering evidence that led to 17 guilty pleas and convictions, including the imprisonment of a Member of Congress and a senior White House official. Carrillo started with McCain in 2002 when he served as Chief Investigator of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation for then-Chairman McCain. After leaving McCain’s office, Carrillo will begin a fellowship with the Geneva Centre for Security Policy, in Geneva, Switzerland, before returning to Washington.
