Often professionals find themselves in a conflict situation in which they are expected to mediate between conflicting parties, be it in everyday life situations, as a representative of a private or public company confronted with public resentment or protest or in high-level international politics as diplomats.
This course aims at:
enhancing personal mediation skills, improving intuition, judgements and decision-making skills in conflict situations, enhancing advisory skills for mediation, providing an overview of definitions, main principles, techniques and challenges of mediation, mapping out different practical experiences and case studies in comparative perspective, and engaging participants in inter-active simulation games.
