Vital Voices and Partnerships in Sustaining Peace

Part of the Geneva Peace Week

None of us can build peace alone. All of us engaged in crisis response and peacebuilding need partnerships, leveraging our complementarities. The session will showcase the work of the Conflict Analysis Network (CAN), a start-up network that promotes innovative tools, such as GECARR (Good Enough Context Analysis for Rapid Response) and ALCA (Action Learning for Conflict Analysis). The panel will highlight the different roles and functions of different actors in building peace, including INGOs, academia and the UN. It will consider how executive education and community skills strengthening can facilitate collaboration in support of peace, security and international cooperation.

The session will showcase 1) the role of parliament in preventing conflict as an inclusive forum for dialogue to reach political compromise, and 2) the work of the Conflict Analysis Network (CAN) that promotes innovative tools, such as Good Enough Context Analysis for Rapid Response (GECARR). It will also consider executive education and community skills facilitating collaboration in support of peace and security.
