Foreign Service Program Master Student at Georgetown University
Sofia Economopoulos is currently a graduate student in the Master of Science in Foreign Service program at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Her academic concentration is global politics and security, with an emphasis on European energy security, as well as the migration crisis. Ms Economopoulos received her B.A. in Foreign Affairs with a concentration in European Politics from the University of Virginia. Prior to starting at Georgetown, she worked for a federal news-briefing agency where she headed the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) daily news briefings, and spent three years as an International Visitor Liaison for the US Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program. This past semester, she was an intern at the Atlantic Council’s Global Energy Center.
