Cate began her career in corporate HR in South Africa before moving to Brussels in 2000. She has a successful track record in partnering with senior business leaders in generalist HR roles across different industries including Finance, Legal, Automotive, Manufacturing. She specialized in OD and learning and development and after completing her coaching certification, set up her own practice in Brussels. She continues to work internationally, with a strong focus on projects that support societal advancement.
Cate holds a senior faculty role with the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL). She designs leadership programs for maximum learning impact: using tools and methods such as open space, world café, appreciative inquiry, action learning and other liberating structures. Cate is a seasoned facilitator and leadership coach. She works with woman in many different contexts, coaching them to beat their own internal obstacles to success, so as leaders, they may serve themselves and others better. CCL continues to grown it’s work in Woman’s Leadership since it’s 1st Women’s Leadership Program (WLP) in 1988. Currently there are 5 CCL Centers of Research on Women’s Leadership and 12 CCL Women’s Leadership Initiatives spread across 6 continents. CCL have also published numerous Whitepapers and several ground breaking books on Woman’s Leadership.
Cate has a Bachelors degree in Industrial Psychology from the University of South Africa and a National Diploma in HRM. She is an accredited Coach and a certified practitioner of psychometrics including DiSC, MBTI, PAPI and ISI and Polarity Thinking. Cate is passionate about the power of open communication and collective intelligence to solve organisational issues. She hosts and attends events that support innovation in this area. She is also currently researching character in leadership as a model for individual growth and development.
Cate is an affiliated member of the International Coach Federation (ICF) and an active member of the Art of Hosting global community.
