The interview begins with Ambassador Dussey briefly recounting how some of the most important historical events in Geneva between 1985 and 1996 eventually led to the creation of the GCSP almost two decades ago.
Subsequently, Ambassador Dussey describes the evolution of the GCSP from a small foundation, initiated by the Swiss government, that offered few high level training courses in security policy into an international centre that offers more than 80 Executive education courses per year in a diverse range of international peace and security topics. Hosting now over 1,000 participants annually at the brand new Maison de la Paix and in key locations worldwide, the GCSP has tripled the number of its alumni over the past four years. With more than 6,000 individuals from 165 different countries, the GCSP alumni community is composed of professionals who hold important leadership positions globally.
”GCSP’s mission is to prepare and transform individuals and organisations, so they can create a safer world” says Ambassador Dussey.
