On Friday, 25th of May 2018 the graduation ceremony for the 2017-2018 Leadership in International Security Course (LISC), and the 2017-2018 Master of Advanced Studies in International and European Security (MAS) took place at the GCSP.
The 32nd edition of this 8-month course began on 9 October 2017. It is designed to increase the knowledge and skills of high performing professionals who seek to enhance their career and engage in leadership positions in solving the world’s most pressing security challenges.
For 2017-2018, the GCSP welcomed 22 participants from 19 countries, representing six government ministries, humanitarian agencies, academia, and civil society from across five continents.
Participants also had the opportunity to take part in the concurrent Master of Advanced Studies in International and European Security, jointly run with the Global Studies Institute of the University of Geneva, and we were delighted to have 16 MAS graduates this year.
The LISC ceremony was opened by Ambassador Christian Dussey, GCSP Director, and the MAS ceremony by Professor René Schwok, Director of the Global Studies Institute of the University of Geneva, and was followed by the handover of the certificates and diplomas. The ceremony concluded with an address from Ms Angeli Payumo on behalf of the 2017-2018 class.
We wish the graduates of 2017-2018 continued success in their future endeavours and look forward to our continued relationship with them through the GCSP Alumni Association and events.
