On 19 April, a few days before the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) Preparatory Committee meeting in Geneva, the GCSP organized the fourth ‘Framework Forum’ roundtable cosponsored by Basel Peace Office, Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES), Middle Powers Initiative, Parliamentarians for Nuclear Non-proliferation and Disarmament (PNND), and World Future Council. This year the topic for discussion was: “Reviving Nuclear Threat Reduction and Disarmament through the NPT, Conference on Disarmament and UN High-Level Conference on Nuclear Disarmament”.
Among the chairs and speakers were: Hubert Schillinger (FES), Marc Finaud (GCSP), Marzhan Nurzhan (PNND), Amb. Michael Biontino (Germany), Paul Ingram (BASIC), Oliver Meier (SWP), Louise Doswald-Beck (formerly Graduate Institute), Amb. Ala Azeez (Sri Lanka), Sico van der Meer (Clingendal Institute), Tarja Cronberg (Middle Powers Initiative), and Alyn Ware (PNND).
