On 16 March 2017, the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP)’s alumni gathered for “Alumni Connections & Conversations”, the second in the series in Geneva, at the Maison de la paix.
The event, hosted by the GCSP and alumni affairs, warmly welcomed Mr Matthias Behnke as guest speaker. Discussing the “erosion of the international legal protection in Syria,” during the conversation segment of the event, Mr Behnke currently serves as Syria Coordinator at the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).
In addition to the alumni in attendance, current GCSP course participants of the Leadership in International Security Course (LISC), European Security Course (ESC), as well as GCSP fellows and staff were also present. The “Alumni Connection & Conversations” series offers executives working in international security and peace new opportunities to network and engage in stimulating conversation. The next event will take place on 1 June 2017.
