The partnership follows the invitation extended to GCSP to participate in the last two editions of the Annual Abu Dhabi Strategic Debate, and will enable both centres to further develop avenues of cooperation in the field of peace and security.
The GCSP is engaged in partnerships with numerous leading international organisations, think tanks, and academic institutes to collaborate on a variety of activities aimed at providing forward-thinking and creative solutions in international affairs to individuals and institutions worldwide.
Dr Ebtesam Al-Ketbi is President of the Emirates Policy Center. She is also Assistant Professor of Political Science at the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences, UAE University. She obtained her Ph.D. in Political Science at the Faculty of Economics and Political Sciences, Cairo University. She is a Member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Social Affairs in the UAE, a board member of the Arabic Society for Political Science and also member of the Board of Trustees of the Arabic Organization for Transparency. She served as a member of the Consultative committee of the UAE Center for Strategic Studies, as director of the woman program at the Gulf Research Center, and took an active role in developing the Arabic Human Development Report of 2006.
Dr Zaid Eyadat is Advisor at the Emirates Policy Center. He is also Visiting Scholar at the School of Foreign Service of Georgetown University. He is Professor of political science and human rights, and an expert on international and comparative politics. He is the founding chairperson of the University of Jordan’s Human Rights Department, which later became the Political Development Department, as well as the founding Dean of the Prince al-Hussein School of International Studies at the university. His training and research interests are in the fields of international politics, comparative politics, international political theory, modelling and game theory. He is a leading and distinguished expert on Middle East politics and Studies. His research has been published in many leading scholarly journals.
