A partner of our Security and Law Programme, the Geneva Academy celebrates its 10th anniversary
Established in 2007 by the Faculty of Law of the University of Geneva and the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights provides post-graduate education, conducts academic legal research and policy studies, and organizes training courses and expert meetings. In its ten years’ activity, it has acquired global reputation in different branches of international law that relate to situations of armed conflict, protracted violence, and protection of human rights.
Thanks to a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), GCSP and the Geneva Academy conduct common activities in the field of security and law.
On the occasion of the Geneva Academy 10th anniversary, partners, friends, alumni and colleagues tell what the Academy means to them. In this video testimonial, Tobias Vestner, Cluster Leader of the Security and Law Programme, congratulates our partner institution and explains why our cooperation is based on the steady admiration for what the Academy has achieved in its first ten years and the contribution it has given to the progress of international law.
