Highlights from the Launch of the Media and Arts for Peace Course in Geneva

On June 21, the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP) held the official launch of the Media and Arts for Peace Online Course at the Maison de la paix in Geneva.

The evening featured performances by the Damascus String Quintet of SEPO and the Soprano Racha Rizk; participatory conversations moderated by journalist and GCSP Associate Fellow Xavier Colin, with cartoonists Patrick Chappatte and Hani Abbas, peacebuilding expert Dr Caty Clément; and an art exhibit titled "Peace Within - The Art of Transformation in the Heart of War".

The GCSP held their first launch event for the online course, developed in partnership with the US Institute of Peace, in Washington D.C. on 25 May, and will hold a third event in New York City in September.
