On 23 April, 40 students from the Polish Diplomatic Academy visited the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP) during their week-long visit to Geneva. This is the second time the Academy has visited the GCSP.
Ms Anna Brach, European Security Course Director and Human Security Cluster Leader, shared about GCSP’s work in executive education, dialogue and strategic policy analysis. The discussion included topics related to life-long learning as well as the new and emerging threats to international security including environment, migration and new technologies – all of which are key issues addressed at the GCSP.
Ms Brach commented, ‘It is a real pleasure and privilege to exchange with young diplomats from Poland. These future policy makers with their post-communist experience of Poland will effectively complement the existing rich understanding of security and diplomacy of their more experienced colleagues.”
Poland has been on the GCSP Foundation Council since the creation of the centre in 1995. Thanks to a considerable number of Polish alumni the GCSP has a very good reputation in the Polish administration. GCSP is honoured to share that both the current and former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland are GCSP alumni.
