We are pleased to announce that the 3rd edition of the “International Course on Risk and Crisis Management: Responding to Crisis in the 21st Century” successfully started on Monday 5th November 2018 in Schwarzenburg (Bern) and will take place until Friday 9th November 2018 at the Eidgenössisches Ausbildungszentrum Schwarzenburg. This course is co-organized by the GCSP and the Federal Office for Civil Protection (FOCP) and designed in collaboration with the Swiss Programme of Partnership for Peace (PfP). The 19 participants, amongst them government officials and subject matter experts, represent 11 different countries, as well as NATO. On Monday, they joined the Course Director David Horobin, GCSP Crisis Management Cluster Leader, and expert guest speakers in discussing Risk Governance and Resilience. In the course of this week, participants will attend expert talks and crisis exercises on National Disaster Risk Assessment, Emergency Management as well as Crisis Management and New Threats. This course constitutes a practical contribution by Switzerland to enhance Civil Preparedness capacity building activities.
