Alumni Brown Bag Seminar: the Implementation of SDGs
GCSP, Maison de la paix, Chemin Eugène-Rigot 2D, 1211 Geneva 1
A GCSP Alumni Community Event
This new event series is organised by the GCSP Community Engagement Office in collaboration with the Leadership in International Security Course (LISC) for its course participants, GCSP alumni and fellows.
It will provide an informal space for dialogue between governments, business, civil society, and international organisations on trends, challenges and good practices in preventing and addressing current security challenges.
Hear it from our alumni: During a 20-minute presentation, a GCSP LISC alumnus will share insights to an international security challenge which his country or he himself is facing. The presentation will be followed by a constructive discussion among the attendees. Over a light sandwich lunch, the participants will be able to continue their discussions and network.
Angela Hoyos Iborra is a 2019 LISC alumna and today works for GICHD, as an External Relations and Policy Advisor. Her main responsibilities include furthering and disseminating GICHD policy work and providing advice and training to both the GICHD and its partners on policy-related topics, particularly on the links between mine action, peace, security and development. Ángela Hoyos previously worked with the United Nations Regional Centre for Peace, Disarmament and Development in Latin America and the Caribbean (UNLIREC) as a Legal Officer and Advisor for the Non-Proliferation and Arms Control Programme. Prior to this position, she worked as public policy analyst and lawyer for governmental institutions in Spain.
This is an exclusive event for GCSP Geneva based alumni, fellows and LISC course participants.
Lunch: Bring your own sandwich. Drinks will be served.
