Born on 10th of June 1985, in Kabul, Mr. Hamid Ibrahimi holds a Master degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Kardan University (Afghanistan’s top private university) and has worked for more than eighteen years in senior management positions with former Afghan Government and for international organizations. He remained as the Capacity Support Manager/Acting Head of Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE) Department with the Afghanistan Directorate of Mine Action Coordination (DMAC) and, following the fall of the Afghan republic government to the Taliban, he continued in the same role with the UNMAS led Mine Action Coordination Center for Afghanistan, until the end of March 2022. He also worked as a Project Manager for Humanity & Inclusion (HI) for about two and half years and, served in the education sector of Afghanistan with Amitie Franco-Afghane (French association) for about nine years. Besides his official occupation, he is volunteered as a Program Manager for Women Education, Development & Services Organization (WEDSO) – an Afghan grass-root entity established with the aim to support women and marginalized groups. Mr. Hamid has attended in a number of internationally recognized courses held in Asia and at the Europe level and speaks English, French and Urdu fluently, besides the Afghan national languages.
