Chris Parker is Head of Communication and responsible for the Digital Amplification Team. Chris joined the GCSP in July 2019 from the World Economic Forum where he was Head of Marketing, and previously Head of Digital Media, responsible for content distribution and outreach. During his 8 years working for the WEF he developed a content distribution and outreach strategy that built huge audiences on all major social networks using revolutionary storytelling formats.
He worked for Reuters for 10 years in London, where he started off as responsible for developing the disaster relief news service AlertNet. He then moved to become Head of Social Media for Reuters.com and finally put in charge of company news coverage using artificial intelligence, automation and social media curation.
With a degree in Computer Science and Economics (MSC) from the University of Manchester, he is looking to bring an agile and analytical approach to content publishing that focuses on topical trends and viral formats aiming to boost the impact of GCSP.
