Emerant Yves Omgba Akoudou is a Cameroonian citizen. His central thematic of research is Human security, and he shows an interest in every field of study that can enable to understand a part of it. He is completing a PhD in Private Law with a specialization in Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences at the University of Yaounde 2 and his thesis is on The criminological grounds of international core crimes. He is also completing another PhD in Public Law at the Marmara University in Istanbul, and his thesis is on Human Security and International Law. He has obtained a MA in Private Law with a specialization in Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences from the University of Yaounde 2 and another MA in Human Rights and Humanitarian Action from the Catholic University of Central Africa. Emerant Yves has worked as a fellow in Human Rights at the United Nations Center for Human Rights and Democracy in Central Africa, a Teaching Assistant, at the Catholic University of Central Africa (MA Human Rights and Humanitarian Action), and has been involved with several NGOs in Cameroon working in the areas of human rights, democracy, and rule of law.
