Mr. Joao Morais is currently working as Senior Security Analyst at the Presidential Security Office. Previously he was at NATO structure. His first assignment was at Logistics Operations and Planning Directorate (J4) at the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers of Europe (SHAPE) in Mons, Belgium. He was Assistant-Coordinator of the Afghanistan National Army Trust Fund (ANA TF) at the J4 Directorate. Besides the ANA TF, he was also responsible to oversee the logistics operations in NATO Operations. Concluded the mission in SHAPE, he was assigned to the Logistics Planning Directorate (G4) NATO Land Command (LANDCOM) in Izmir, Turkey. His main duties included the supervision of the Land Logistics Optimization Program and the management of the Tools for Operational Planning Functional Area Service (TOPFAS) at the G4 Unit during Exercises. His first International experience was as an Intern at the International Maritime Organization of the United Nations in London. He was given the task to provide administrative support during the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC). He holds a Degree in Global Development and International Relations at the Leeds Beck University in the United Kingdom. He attended holds two Postgraduate Certificates at the Romanian Defence University - 1) Defence Resources Management for Senior Officials, and 2) Planning programming budgeting system (PPBS). He also attended other Defence professional courses such as such European Defence Policy, International Crisis Management at the Swedish Defence University and Operational Planning Course at NATO School.
