Marvin is an intelligence analyst at the Singapore Police Force with a background in accounting and finance. As an intelligence analyst he provides analysis on crime patterns and emerging threats and researches on a range of subjects pertaining to the criminal environment. In addition, he utilizes horizon scanning and sense-making methodologies to produce assessments on emerging trends and new threats to the security landscape. He has been based in Geneva since early 2019. He has just completed a master’s degree in European and International Governance from the University of Geneva and graduated as valedictorian. His end of study project was on strategic foresight in the context of the European Union. Marvin’s other interest includes the processing, analysis, and presentation of various data types towards better understanding and forecasting of different scenarios. He is also interested in how the rapid promulgation of technology impacts the various aspects of life, for example in criminal behavior and the economy.
