Ms Aimee Lace
Position(s) Ph.D. Candidate, Columbia University

Aimee is a doctoral fellow at GCSP, affiliated with the Geneva Leadership Alliance. Her work focuses on the human side of peacebuilding and  international relations - the way that people work together, resolve conflict, and create sustainable innovative solutions. She is a Ph.D. candidate at Columbia University, and her current research is on interagency cooperation and leadership in complex settings.
Prior to her studies at Columbia, she was a consultant for the United Nations Institute for Training and Research in Geneva on projects related to peacekeeping, local development, and leadership. She has consulting experience, having worked for the Team Coaching Zone and OrgVitality. She is a founding member of Unconventional, a community of young women focused on building leadership, friendship, and resilience. She is also a trained
mediator and a certified team coach.
Aimee enjoys bringing a “leadership” lens to international affairs, whether by analyzing the leadership structures of non-state armed groups or discussing the intersections of institution-building and reconciliation processes.
Aimee is a US national and is a native English speaker. She has an advanced level of Spanish, as well as a beginner level of French and Portuguese.
