Maryana Hindaily is from Beirut, Lebanon. She holds a B.A. in International Affairs and Diplomacy from Notre Dame University Louaize in Lebanon. She is currently a full scholarship master student holder in Security, Intelligence, and Strategic Studies (IMSSIS) focusing on terrorism and intelligence in the Middle East. During her university years, she was active in extracurricular clubs and many NGOs. She was also chosen among several candidates to partake in an inter-university programme in International Criminal Law and Procedure with T.M.C. Asser Institute, Center for International and European Law (TMC), as part of the Outreach and Legacy Section of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) in The Hague, Netherlands. Shortly after, Maryana also enrolled in an exchange summer programme in Charles University, within the American Institute on Political and Economic Systems focusing on global political systems and security systems. After graduating, she had the opportunity to work as Program Support Coordinator for Mercy Corps International, under the Governance and Social Stability Sector; as well as a Field Coordinator. She worked with colleagues on building social cohesion between Syrian refugees and Lebanese host communities, by building the capacities of local municipalities, allowing them to provide better services and mediate disputes. In parallel, Ms. Hindaily took part in an ERASMUS + programme, where she had the opportunity to write an EU youth strategy. Lately, she took part in the Cyber 9/12 strategy challenge with GCSP. Ms. Hindaily speaks Arabic, English, and French.
