Waad Aljarf has more than 5 years of experience working with humanitarian INGOs managing projects and programs in conflict-affected areas. She was the former Program Coordinator of Action Against Hunger- (ACF-International) in Syria mission. In that role, she developed strategies for implementing humanitarian projects in different parts of Syria, maintained and developed institutional relationships with different humanitarian actors in the country for fund-raising, advocacy and coordination purposes. Before joining ACF International, she managed Humanitarian Assistance Programme at AKDN Syria where she had worked with a team to establish the programme and define the vulnerability criteria and assistance mechanism in conflict-affected areas. Waad holds a Master’s degree in Social Policy and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Islamic Studies and Humanities from the Institute of Ismaili Studies in London. Waad is a Syrian national is currently based in Geneva. Her working languages are English and Arabic.
