Launched in 2009 as ""Peacebuilding Course"" it has provided professionals from diverse backgrounds with a comprehensive approach to recovery in post-conflict contexts.

The course provides:
• Analysis and critical review of approaches, policies, challenges, lessons learned and inspiration from applied best practice as well as discovery of out of the box solutions for recovery and stabilisation efforts;
• Learning through exchange of case studies addressing selected topics, interaction with fellow participants and senior experts as trainers;
• Improved skills regarding the assessment, planning, implementation and critical evaluation of major tasks in the process of recovery and stabilisation;
• Strategies for comprehensive collaboration and networking opportunities in the expert community for future professional exchanges.

The course includes an e-Learning section prior to the residential phase.

An ESDC Certificate is awarded upon successful completion of the course.
