Ms Rasha Corti
Position(s) Federally Licensed Guide of Austria and translator for the Austrian Criminal Police Department and for the asylum process at the Austrian Interior Ministry

Ms Rasha Corti is an Executive-in-Residence within the Global Fellowship Initiative of the GCSP. Ms Corti was born and raised in Raqqa, Syria. She studied English literature in Aleppo and worked for the French Cultural Center. Afterwards, she worked in Damascus for different media portals in producing documentaries about Syria. Afterwards, absolved TV Presenter studies in Cairo, she then moved to Austria. Ms Corti first gained a tourist guide license in Austria, then started working as a translator for the Austrian Criminal Police Department and for the asylum process at the Austrian Interior Ministry. She published several articles in the main Austrian newspapers concerning the Syrian War, Middle Eastern Women’s integration and their cultural religious identity. She also launched a number of projects in the Austrian Integration Fonds mainly focusing on womens’ integration. Her projects’ aim is to minimize the cultural and the social gap and to identify new ways to approach the labour market. She regularly participates in public discussions about integration on Austrian governmental and non-governmental platforms. Ms Corti serves as a member of the integration Advisory Committee mandated by the Federal Chancellor since 2018 and was named one of the Great Daughters of Austria in 2019.
