Professor Juliette Kayyem is an Associate Fellow within the Global Fellowship Initiative of the GCSP. Juliette Kayyem is the Belfer Lecturer in International Security at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and founder of Kayyem Solutions, LLC, one of the few female-owned security businesses providing strategic advice to a range of companies in technology, risk management, mega-event planning, venture capital and more. Author of numerous books and articles, she serves as an on-air security analyst on CNN and is featured in a weekly radio program on Boston's NPR 89.7 WGBH. Kayyem also hosts a podcast entitled "Security Mom" for WGBHNews.

Most recently, Kayyem was President Obama’s Assistant Secretary for Intergovernmental Affairs at the Department of Homeland Security. She also served as former Governor of Massachusetts Deval Patrick's Homeland Security Advisor.

In 2013, Kayyem was named a Pulitzer Prize finalist for editorial columns in the Boston Globe focused on ending the Pentagon’s combat exclusion rule against women, a policy that was changed that year. She serves on a number of boards and is a member of the Executive Committee for the Boston 2024 Olympic bid.
