Where We Are

When we think of innovation in entrepreneurship, Silicon Valley comes to mind. For finance, it's London. For fresh thinking on international affairs, peace, security, and global governance, there is no better place than Geneva—the world’s hub for multilateral diplomacy and humanitarian action.

At the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP), we are proud to be at the heart of this vibrant ecosystem.

Maison de la Paix

Our home, the Maison de la Paix ("House of Peace"), places us at the intersection of international dialogue and policy innovation. This iconic building is more than just our address, it is a symbol of collaboration and global engagement. A result of a public-private partnership between Swiss authorities, private donors, and the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID), the Maison de la Paix is a dynamic centre of excellence where knowledge meets action.

International Geneva

The GCSP is proud to be situated in International Geneva—a unique environment home to over 40 international organisations, 180 diplomatic missions, and countless NGOs, think tanks, and academic institutions. This exceptional concentration of global actors makes Geneva a key centre for multilateral cooperation, diplomacy, and thought leadership. Our location allows us to connect with a broad range of stakeholders and to contribute meaningfully to international dialogue on peace and security.

A Global Launchpad

Being in Geneva gives us daily access to a wide range of perspectives, institutions, and diplomatic actors. But our reach goes far beyond Switzerland. GCSP’s global network is a springboard to impactful engagement around the world. We regularly work with partners across regions to deliver customised courses, workshops, and policy dialogues that address local and regional security challenges.

Through this interconnected approach, we support individuals and organisations wherever they are building peace, advancing security, and shaping global cooperation.
