Ms Vivienne Talsma is an Government Fellow within the Global Fellowship Initiative of the GCSP. She is a Senior Associate in the Intergovernmental Relations Unit of the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria, where she has worked for the past nine years. She is tasked with managing strategic stakeholder engagement with several government agencies including the Central Bank of Nigeria, Ministry of Finance, Judiciary and the National Assembly.
Her passion for improving engagement outcomes through collaborations and strategic partnerships has led to her success in advocating for the investigation of activities of real estate developers in Abuja, resulting in the National Assembly setting up an ad hoc committee to investigate the issue through a series of public hearings. Vivienne served as an advisor to the Chairman of the ad hoc committee and ran a successful campaign to encourage homebuyers to submit their complaints/petitions to the committee for resolution.
Vivienne is interested in public and cultural diplomacy, global peace, dialogue, negotiations and education. She has recently moved to Geneva with her daughters, and is exploring how her experience and capabilities can contribute towards global peace and cooperation. She speaks fluent Ibo, Hausa, English and is currently learning French.
