Equity, Power and Inclusion – Peace and Security for Who?
Join other professionals grappling with the challenges of gender equality, women, youth, peace and security, and gain insights into different ways to generate inclusion and belonging.
This half day online workshop is designed to bring together leaders in peace, security, humanitarian and governance sectors who are seeking to lead equity, power and inclusion more effectively.
At this inflection point where power is shifting nationally and internationally, we will reflect on our role and contribution as professionals working in peace, security and humanitarian response. What is the impact of international laws and norms being contested? Why are gender equality and women’s rights becoming more politicised and divisive? What are the impacts on young people? Whose needs are being met by the current systems? Where do the current challenges leave the ‘localisation’ agenda? How do we bridge the gaps to build trust, cooperation, sustainable peace and inclusive security?
The workshop is designed to create a space for hindsight, insight and foresight: to pause, reflect on what current realities are and be intentional about the future we want to create.
