Mr Sami Joutet
Sami Joutet is a Fellow at the GCSP and a Fellow at the Asia Society, specializing in conflict resolution. He previously worked with the GCSP’s Mediation and Peace Support Department, as well as with the Peace and Human Rights Division of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, where he focused particularly on mediation efforts in the MENA region and in West Africa.
Prior to this, Sami worked with NGOs in Palestine and South Korea, engaging in human rights advocacy and grassroots initiatives. He later worked as a freelance journalist in the Middle East where he covered issues related to transitional justice and post-conflict challenges.
Sami holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the University of Geneva.
