Ms Rachel Sider
Rachel Sider is an Executive-in-Residence with the Global Fellowship Initiative of the GCSP and a public policy expert. Having witnessed how poorly conceived policy and relief programs can exacerbate risks to civilians and undermine sustainable peace, Rachel led advocacy and research initiatives at the Norwegian Refugee Council and Oxfam aimed at strengthening humanitarian action and upholding international law in contexts as wide-ranging as Myanmar, Syria and Iraq. She has also worked to scale AI-driven forecasting to strengthen foreign aid accountability and to influence how peace processes are designed and implemented. As Head of the Executive Office at an international peacebuilding organization in Geneva, she advised on matters of strategy, governance and partnerships. Rachel holds a Bachelor in Arts in International and Global Studies from Middlebury College and a Master in Public Policy from the University of Oxford’s Blavatnik School of Government.
