Cooperative Security Report Launch 2021 - Restoring European Security: From Managing Relations to Principled Cooperation
The GCSP is currently developing a series of conversations on Cooperative Security in order to enhance understanding of this crucial concept. Erosion of relations between Russia and the West has intensified lately, bringing instability and high risks of military confrontation to the region. In the situation, where a high level of polarisation and mistrust persists, the need for an inclusive dialogue process on European Security is urgent. The GCSP would like to offer a neutral and safe platform for exchanges between government representatives and experts. The starting point of our discussion are the building blocks proposed by the Cooperative Security Initiative (CSI).
This is the inaugural event for a new series in cooperation with the Friedrich Ebert Foundation Regional Office for Cooperation and Peace in Europe. The main purpose is to provide the space to present and discuss the report “Restoring European Security: From Managing Relations to Principled Cooperation” as part of the CSI. The series is designed to generate ideas and shift momentum in favour of cooperative security in Europe.
During the event, audience members will have the chance to meet the report editors and contributors. A live question and answer period will provide the space to discuss the report’s main findings and the agenda for principled cooperation.
The event will be held in a hybrid format. Due to the COVID situation, only a very limited number of participants can attend the speakers’ presentations in person at the GCSP. Please contact us if you'd like to join us at the Maison de la paix.
