Colonel (GS) Christophe Chollet

Christophe was the commander of the CBRN Defense School in Spiez. In this role, he was responsible for strategic planning, steering, training execution, and troop education. His mandate included overseeing technical courses for Defense Staff officers and delivering international training programs for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), whereby he also served as Deputy Commander.

In 2018–2019, he led the Swiss contingent of the KFOR-led peace support operation in Kosovo. In his conscription military function, he serves as Chief of Staff of the Patrouille des Glaciers Command which is responsible for conducting the world-renowned ski mountaineering competition.

His professional military career began in 2002 as a CBRN Defense instructor, following his graduation with an MSc in Chemistry from the University of Fribourg. He successfully graduated as a career officer from the Swiss Armed Forces Military Academy at ETH Zurich, and later completed his advanced military education at the Command and General Staff College in Luzern.

A native French speaker, Christophe is also fluent in English and German, with a working knowledge of Italian.
